Reb Noson of Breslov, the primary disciple of Rebbe Nachman, writes (Likutey Halakhot, Choshen Mishpat, Hilkhot Matanah, 5, 15-17) that one of our main purposes in life is to bring out and reveal HaShem's hidden kindness. For it is His Will that we "extract" from Him more good. But as an incentive He wants us to recognize the good that He has already done for us
What to do? I'm trying by a tiny thread to hold on but I am sinking in the quicksand of misery spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally!!! So give a retort! Tell HaShem "I know that I am not the way You would like me to be, but I want to be a good Jew! I want to serve You the way I should! I wan't to support and raise my children according to Your Will!
"A person with faith has no questions. A person without faith has no answers." (Reb Eliyahu Rosen Zal - former dean of the Breslov Yeshiva in Meah Shearim, Jerusalem).
HaShem is ready and willing to give you everything you need to come to your spiritual fulfillment. All you need is to know how and where to press on the right keys. (Since the majority of people "don't know" - it is suggested to seek out those true tzaddikim who "do know").
You see that the ONLY thing to do is to daven and daven and daven until your eyes are opened and begin to see the light and location of the true Tzaddikim. Nothing else but simple prayer. Be determined and you will find what you're looking for.
Eretz Yisrael - The Land of Israel - can also be interpreted as: I want (Ratzon-etymologically connected to Eretz) to be a Jew (Yisraeli). (Reb Gedaliah Tefilinsky zal)
In every difficult situation, HaShem sends some type of "expansion", meaning that the situation was not 100% bad. By focusing and looking for these expansions one can actually hold on in the roller-coaster experience of life, and thus continue one's search for spiritual fulfillment. Of coarse, prayer is the key to this.
Man is a miniature world. If you want to really see what's happening in the world, take a good look at yourself.
Know! A person must walk on a very narrow bridge, and the main thing is not to make yourself afraid! (Rebbe Nachman). We can infer from this that on this narrow bridge there is no room for two people, only one. When in such situations a person should remember that he is never alone, since Hashem is always there waiting for you.
Belief that Hashem listens to every word you say is the receptacle itself in having your prayers answered.
There are times when you feel really down. I MEAN REALLY REALLY DOWN! When the feelings of futility, dejection and rejection are literally sinking in from all frontiers. Whether financially, marriage relationships, child-parent relationships, but especially one's relationship with Hashem. When the blues are just sinking in from all directions.
When one feels such a detachment from Emunah. When you feel such an iron curtain between you and the One Above. When you feel that He's not listening or paying attention to anything you say or do to/for Him. And in the meantime it's just getting worse and worse and worse.
Every word counts and makes a difference!!!

Thank G-d for prayer. This is the one vessel and weapon that you carry with you wherever you go - even in the darkest and deepest places in life. With it you can tap into virtually everything that your imagination can fathom.
After every fall there is an up. And commensurate to how deep the fall is, that's how high one goes (if he, of course, holds on). This holds true even if a person "gives in" during his fall. If he simply afterwards gets back up, starting from scratch as if nothing happened he will come to the "hidden treasure" within.
Every Jew is filled with endless reservoirs of spiritual potential to reach the greatest heights in life. But, you need a tzaddik to help reveal and uncover this potential treasure.
We say every day in the morning prayer: And they [the Jews] believed in Hashem and Moshe His servant. The Midrash comments on this: He who believes in Moshe His servant automatically believes in Hashem, and he who doesn't believe in Moshe His servant does not believe in Hashem.
The key to all parameters of Emunah - in Hashem, in the Torah, in prayer and especially in yourself, is faith in the words and power of the tzaddikim.
When the push gets to shove - what then? Clap and dance, sing a tune, and thank Hashem for all the "expansions" that He sends you within the difficulties.
Salvation comes to those who wait for it. You just gotta keep on being patient, and persistent in waiting for HaShem to let you in. In the end, when He sees your determination, He - as if to say - will Give in to you.

How do you know - how can you feel sure and confident - that you are on the right path in life? If you are sincere and you sincerely asked HaShem to be led on His path of truth, then rest assured that you are on the right path. Don't fret and worry about the scary situations. Have confidence in your personal worth in HaShem's Eyes and keep on going.
Remember the story with Rabbi Akiva, when his wife, Rachel, showed him the stone with the hole? The consistent drops of water had eventually made a hole in the stone! So too in serving Hashem - the main thing is consistency no matter how much you do. Just keep on doing.
